3DMZ (3D Makers Zone) is an innovative company specialized in industrial 3D printing with related complementary digital technologies. 3DMZ is located in an old industrial facility in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area that has been transformed into a creative, technological hub. Various labs have been set up in the facility with a wide range of large and small industrial 3D printers, robot arms, 3D scanners and several exhibitions

As an official Smart Industry Fieldlab, 3DMZ is a unique place where innovation is accelerated with organizations, companies and educational and knowledge institutions. Ideas and concepts immediately come to life here and are developed into prototypes, pilots and end products. Our innovation programs provide experience with business models that you can apply immediately. All the way from A to Z and everything in between.

Through our live events, companies, organizations and educational institutions gain knowledge and strengthen their network. Furthermore, 3DMZ also regularly hosts corporate events of external parties who want to organize something around innovation and digitization. We also give inspiring tours through our own facility.

The 3D Makers Zone is partner of Smart Makers Education.
Smart Makers Education is a regional educational program in the Netherlands and is focused on educating and training the next generation of workers to effectively work with new disruptive tech. We support this collectively with other regional companies and institutions.
The Smart Makers Education program aims to enthuse young students about new technologies, training teachers, develop educational curricula around 21st Century Skills in combination with 21st Century Tech. And above all the program connects young talented students to companies and develops new didactic workflows like Makathons for educational purposes.

Smart Industry Field Lab
Fieldlabs are testing environments in which companies and knowledge institutions develop, test and implement Smart Industry technologies and solutions. They also strengthen links with research, education and policy on a specific Smart Industry theme. Some have a regional focus, others a national and even European focus. In the 3D Makers Zone, new technologies such as 3D printing, Blockchain, and Internet or Things with Smart Sensors are made applicable for business. This is the missing link between theory and practice that the ministry of Economic Affairs has been looking for. In 2016, the 3D Makers Zone became an official Smart Industry Fieldlab in The Netherlands
